I'm one of the largest Zeiss dealers in Canada and keep stock of many of the lenses for both the Nikon SLR and Canon SLR mounts. I enjoy using the Zeiss lenses so much I even bought a Nikon F6 so I could use them while shooting film.

Are Zeiss lenses better than Nikon or Canon?
Usually third party lenses don't hold up against the original products but that doesn't seem to be the case with these Zeiss lenses made for Nikon, Pentax and Canon. The build quality on these lenses is outstanding and the glass is second to none. They have the Zeiss North American Warranty. The Makro's are the most popular but the classic 85mm F1.4 is my favorite.

These are premium lenses of the highest quality and are manual focus only. They work equally well on film and digital cameras.

New lenses for Nikon... Zeiss ZF.2
We are pleased to introduce the second generation of ZF lenses for the F-mount cameras: Zeiss ZF.2. These new lenses incorporate a CPU with a 9-bladed, electronic aperture that can be controlled either manually or directly from the camera. The lenses are fully compatible with any F-mount film or digital SLR and all of the AE exposure modes are operable, including shutter priority and program. The lenses automatically transmit the EXIF data, such as manufacturer, date, metering system and exposure data - so photographers no longer need to set the lens parameters manually.
